MoCoPAAN members participated in a unity event on May 12, 2022 at Fairland Recreational Park in Burtonsville Maryland, highlighting various issues including housing, economic empowerment, health, educational equity, environmental justice, and public safety. MoCoPAAN member Bella Rose Liu volunteered for the event, helping to organize a youth art table. MoCoPAAN member Janelle Wong joined the speakers to introduce MoCoPAAN and its values to the more than 70 individuals who attended, including local elected officials and those running for office in 2022. The event was hosted by the MORE Network, JUFJ, IMPACT Silver Spring, EveryDay Canvassing, Francophone Africans Alliance, MoCo Green New Deal, Silver Spring Justice Coalition, MoCo Progressive Asian American Network, CASA and many MORE.
