One out of every 6 residents in Montgomery County is Asian Pacific Islander American. MoCoPAAN is committed to educating the public about our ethnic, geographic, linguistic, and socioeconomic diversity.
AAPI County History
According to the U.S. Census, Asian Americans were first recorded in Montgomery County in the year 1900.​​
Since then, the population has grown from less than 10 Asian American residents to over 150,000 countywide, representing nationalities and ethnicities from all over the world.
This area has 100+ years of Asian American and Pacific Islander history to be celebrated and explored.
