About the Event

Join us March 24 at 1 PM ET/4PM ET for a communications workshop for NIOT communities (new and existing) and any community groups standing up to hate. The conversation will feature methods to communicate effectively and respond quickly to hate incidents. The rise in Anti-Asian hate provides an urgent frame for this discussion.

Pardeep Kaleka, Grande Lum and other AAPI leaders will open the discussion about needs of targeted communities and effective responses. Communications strategies will be presented by Project Over Zero's Rachel Brown and Samantha Owen.

Topics we'll cover:

- Responding to Anti-Asian Hate. Methods for Responding and Messaging for the Community.

- Communications Advice: Do's and Don'ts and sample messaging resources.

- Building structures for your stakeholder groups that are on-going, including building relationships within your community and working with law enforcement.

- How to keep people activated/engaged! Ideas for activities that you can do on a regular basis to keep people engaged, nurture relationships and community engagement outside of crisis moments.
